Short answer: yes
Hypiic’s tools are safe to use with sensitive photos, including passport and ID pictures, because your image never leaves your device. Every tool runs locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API, so there is no upload step at all.
No upload, no server storage
Traditional online photo tools send your file to a server, process it there, and send back a result. Hypiic doesn’t work that way. When you choose a photo, your browser reads the file directly and performs the edit itself. Nothing is transmitted anywhere during that process.
No accounts, no tracking of your images
You don’t need to create an account to use any tool, and we have no way to see, log, or store the photos you process. Once you close or refresh the tab, the image is gone from memory.
What permissions do our tools need?
Tools only need permission to read the file you explicitly choose using your browser’s file picker or drag-and-drop. We don’t request camera, microphone, location, or any other device permission.
Where to check further
For the full legal details, see our Privacy Policy. If you have any doubts, you can also test this yourself: disconnect from the internet after loading a tool page, and you’ll find the tool still works, because nothing needs to be sent anywhere.
